RAGAMA SCHOOL PROJECT

Dear Friend

Accompanying this note you will see a copy of a letter from the Lions Club of Ragama Welisara dated 18 January 2007 which describes a little of the background to the Ragama School Project. You will also see a number of photographs showing the school building in the early stages of renovation.

Good progress is being made with the renovation activities and it is hoped that the school will open in August 2007. We have managed to raise a large proportion of the renovation costs but clearly the project will involve ongoing costs of feeding, clothing and caring for the children as well as covering the teaching staff and other salaries, utility bills, building maintenance etc. etc. We therefore need to secure a regular supply of funding which will help the local chapter of the Lions Club ensure that the project moves ahead and the children are allowed the education and caring they deserve.

By advertising on the InformISM Website and making your donation to the Ragama School Project you will be directly helping the children. I give my assurance that all the donations will be transferred to the project in Sri Lanka . I would be delighted to keep you updated of developments in Ragama should you so wish.
